Brady Bois is a swiss screw machine shop. When dealing with smaller runs or limited needs their legacy production system involved purchasing oversized diameters of stainless steel and subcotracting with a local grinder to bring it down to the required finished size. The process was time consuming in that the stock was purchased by Brady Bois and delivered to their facility. From there it was transferred to subcontractor where, because it was a low volume job, it frequently required the attention of someone at Brady Bois to see that the project kept moving. When completed it was picked up by Brady Bous delivery vehicle and transferred back to the main plant. In all this was a time consuming and inefficient process, but one Brady Bois felt confident was necessary to maintaing their rigid standards.
